Queensland University of Technology – Creative Industries Faculty

Queensland University of Technology is based in Brisbane, Australia, and prides itself on being "a university for the real world". QUT's Creative Industries Faculty is at the forefront of pioneering international research initiatives in creative industries policy, applied creative industries research, digital media design, and the creative and performing arts.

The Faculty partners with industry, government and the community through funded grants, research consultancy, and joint ventures to investigate real-world problems and provide solutions.

National AIDS Council Secretariat

The National AIDS Council was set up through an act of Parliament, to facilitate a comprehensive multi-sector response to HIV and AIDS in the country.

Membership comprises 17 government departments, representatives of the private sector through the Chamber of Commerce, the Church sector, non-government sector, the Council of Women, Department of Justice and Attorney General, Department of Finance, and Persons Living with HIV and AIDS.

The National AIDS Council and its Secretariat are responsible for the formulation, review and revision of national policy for the prevention, control and management of HIV and AIDS, and for monitoring and co-ordinating the implementation of the National Strategic Plan.

NACS and its Secretariat elicit, support, encourage and promote a broad range of HIV and AIDS activities. NACS takes a lead role in mobilising resources to support the implementation of health-promoting activities.

Marie Stopes International

In 2005, Marie Stopes International Australia established and registered as a local non government organisation in PNG, YuMi Health PNG, trading as Marie Stopes Papua New Guinea (MSPNG). Patrons of the organisation include Dr Puka Temu, Deputy Prime Minister, and Dame Carol Kidu, Minister of Community Development.

Since opening the first static clinic in early 2007, the MSPNG team have served the sexual and reproductive health needs of more than 4,000 clients throughout Papua New Guinea, and is one of Marie Stopes International Australia’s youngest country programs.

Through partnership agreements with the Department of Health and the Department of Community Development and Welfare, in conjunction with support and encouragement by various NGO stakeholders, donors, the University of Papua New Guinea and community members, MSPNG have been able to met the serious needs of this country and its people.

Beyond clinical services, MSPNG have continued to engage and collaborate with local church groups and students around sexual and reproductive healthcare, education and practice.

University of Goroka

The University is located in Goroka, the capital of the Eastern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. The university partners with Life Drama in the area of developing curriculum materials, and promoting research capacity-building in PNG.

Porgera Joint Venture

The Porgera gold mine is a joint venture located in the Enga Province in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. Porgera Joint Venture partners with Life Drama in the interests of helping prevent the spread of STIs and HIV in communities associated with the mine, including the town of Tari in Hela Province.

University of Papua New Guinea

The University of Papua New Guinea has as its mission: "To be the premier University of the Pacific making available quality education, research and services to Papua New Guinea and the Pacific." The University is working with Life Drama to establish a Pacific Centre for Applied Performance.

Population Services International

PSI established a PNG office in 2007 to assist the PNG Government’s efforts to measurably improve the health of all Papua New Guineans. In support of the PNG’s Government’s HIV and AIDS Strategic Plan, PSI/PNG focuses on HIV prevention through targeted behavior change communication (BCC) and condom social marketing of Seif Raida male and Stap Seif female condoms.
